The Quickest Noblegarden Guide Ever

1. Go to a level 5-ish “starter town”: Goldshire, Dolanaar, Razor Hill, Brill, etc.

2. Find eggs that are hidden around the town. On some low-pop servers people are running around grabbing eggs as they find them, on others people are camping egg spawn points which means you’ll probably have to also.

3. Open the eggs as you get them, inside you’ll get a lot of chocolate which you can use as currency and occasionally also some toys and items.

4. Visit the Noblegarden quartermaster (there is one in every aforementioned starter-town), any of the items you need for the achievement if you want it, and/or did not get inside eggs, are available to buy for chocolate.

5. ???

6. Profit!

I’ve written before about how I’m not really big into the holiday achievements partially because they are stressful (and thus, in my mind, counter to the point of having a holiday) and partially because I’ve already done them all before. However, with the new Noblegarden, I hadn’t done it before, so I went out and spent several hours yesterday collecting eggs. Not for the achievement and title, though I am definitely scooping up a few of the fun ones along the way… but because I can add more toys to my collection. My motto: one can never have too many toys and horror collectibles for one’s backpack.

Oh, and my toons look superfriggin’-cute with bunny ears.

[Insert screenshot here that I’d post if the realms weren’t down. Feel free to pretend it’s the greatest screenshot you’ve ever seen.]

  1. I used to love the holidays, I really did, and then Achievements came to town and ruined everything.
Before those homewreckers showed up, it was fun to do the holiday things because it was just that, fun, and anyone else doing them along with you was more or less on the same page, having fun with the stuff. Now they’re serious business and stressful as everyone MUST get their title and be one step closer to the dragon mount that will, after Christmas, be the most common flying mount in the game.

It’s kind of sad but I guess a bit like real holidays now, you almost have to decline participating to get real enjoyment out of them.

Even though this Noblegarden is new, the idea of *camping* eggs is more than I can bear. I mean seriously, camping coloured egg spawns? Fretting over someone else getting it first? Ye gods no thank you.

  2. I stayed up and did Noblegarden right after it started (like 12 am on Sunday) and I had an absolute blast. Went out to Kharanos and there weren’t a lot of people around so it was us running around in circles. I finished the meta by 5 am with an hour of that being devoted to trying to find an undead female and a fair chunk of it in travel time in old world.

I went in the evening to do some on my alts and it was a bit less fun since I had to camp, but it was still not too bad because it didn’t take long at all. I went today and did it on my horde hunter and bank alt and had a blast as well since there were hardly any people around and I just find running around finding eggs to be fun. ^_^

  3. Where in the world did you get that pic from. It is truely stupendous. Can you make us a larger version for a desktop wallpaper? I’d also like to paint my bedroom wall an exact replica.

  4. Best screenshot ever ! Woa ! XD

I wasn’t home this week-end and didn’t have time to do any Noble’s garden stuff since i’m back. I think I’ll try to make some room in my bags and hunt some chocolate…

  5. I guess it is way too late to say that’s the best screenshot I’ve ever seen. Early bird gets the worm and all that.

  6. As I came strolling out of Stormwind the other day, there were two gnomes sitting by the side of the road just outside the gate. They had a romantic picnic basket, and they both had bunny ears. I thought I was going to die from cute overload right there on the spot.

  7. I ran around last night for a few hours… as a bunny. I want the title though, so once I get done with classes tonight (yay for a 2 hr evening class that makes me miss a Naxx run) I’m back to egg hunting.

One of my raid mates had a bunny with her… and me being a happy pet collector… I had to go for it. I earned 100 chocolates and bought the rabbits foot… then got one out of an egg. I’m going to have to destroy it… or just keep it as a “lucky charm” since it won’t vendor like the gray versions will.

  8. I just found out the hard way, that if you purchase the tuxedo pieces from the vender u dont get credit for the achievement.

  9. @ All the screenshot comments: I love you guys. <3 I wanna buy you all ice cream.

@ Stupid Mage - It took hours and hours and I had to trudge uphill through the Dun Morogh snow... both ways!

@ Theaah - early in the morning is definitely the time to do it. I did some of it relatively early on Sunday morning with Lunapike... on a low-to-medium population server in Mulgore... only four or five or so of us there and we zipped around and grabbed eggs and I had the minipet and toys all within about ten minutes. Overall I thought it was indeed pretty fun. I dunno if anything can top Hallow's End for my fave in-game holiday, but this one has been pretty darn good.

@ Noah - I can definitely see where you are coming from. The trick for me is to not let yourself get stressed out. I actually "befriended" those "egg ninjas". The ones most people were yelling at. One of them actually wound up giving me a lot of encouragement when I was working to get my Spring Rabbit, and he congratulated me profusely when I finally got it. I guess that is just a Pike thing for ya... I'd rather make new friends than new enemies.

The egg camping actually wound up being sort of zen-like and relaxing after a while... which I wasn't expecting, because I didn't like it at first. But once I had my minipet it just got... kinda peaceful, somehow. XD

  10. *sporfle*
An excellent guide, and you will have to let us know how you got the ears to show up there in your screenshot. I love it! 🙂

I got my title last night, then farmed up some eggs for hubby, because he wanted some bunny ears of his own. Silly boy. He does look gorgeous in his elegant dress though!

  11. I tried – I really did…

But I just couldn’t out camp all those other bunnies…

    Too little play time.

    Too little desire.

    Too much chocolate…. >_<

  12. There’s only one thing I really wanted out of Noblegarden…teh BUNNEHZ! I have the bunny on 3 of my toons so far cuz I’ve been lazy, only got 3-4 more that I want it on >.<

Oh, and I’ve found that running around beats out camping, unless it’s REALLY crowded.

BTW Awesome screenie, wish half of mine looked that good 🙂
