Slash Cower

You know, Tawyn had to deal with a lot of scary stuff today.

A room full of dragon hatchlings in the name of a title…

And the big mother dragon, herself, just for the heck of it…

But nothing, apparently, is quite as scary as a talking tree.

/cower indeed.

(For the record, the guild name is a BIG inside joke; and Onyxia was done with a prot warrior, a resto druid, a warlock, our healadin-turned-retadin, and me. I FRAPS’d the thing and I’d be willing to try to get a video together with annotations about my usage of the new hunter talents and skills, if anybody is remotely interested!)

    I feel i’m a decent hunter and an avid beta forums reader, but all the new stuff is making my head spin. I think i picked up 7 new abilities today. (I’m lvl 61) And I’d love a post about new hunter stuff in general and maybe an idea for a shot rotation? I have steady, arcane, serpent, and aimed now and I don’t know if i should use all of them or just a few of them. Any help would be appreciated.

  2. Trees are very scary! I don’t want to be tree-punched! Or worse, tree-bagged! For the record, the best Ony kill I’ve done was myself on my holy priest, a prot warrior and a lock. She got a little buggy and roamed about her cave rather than staying put, but the bug reset after the flight phase. Took us almost as long as a regular kill because the tank was taking almost no damage and even the littlest heal from me would draw aggro.

    Hmm. I’ll have to put Ony back on my to-do list.

  3. I’d be interested on the video. I play on Silver Hand Horde side, I’ll try to /wave if I ever see you.
    Also, I’m fairly familiar with the changes since I’m in the beta but there’s something different about playing on live with my friends. 🙂

    I’m not BM since the patch hit, but it would be my best guess that steady shot spam will provide you with the best dps.

    This, however, is precisely why training dummies have been added to major cities. Go find yourself a level 60 training dummy, download and install Recount from wow.curse.com, and experiment with different rotations. Find what provides you with the bestest DPS, but more importantly, find what works for you.

    @Pike!

    Video, please!

    =P

  5. @Sade

    Will do! Is recount a confirmed working addon for 3.0 yet? Most of my other ones are still broke. 🙁

    I didn’t know that they added training dummies in this patch, I thought that was a wrath release thing, so I’ll definitely have to check it out.

    @Pike

    videos = win

  6. What kind of question is that?
    “if anybody is remotely interested!” ??

    DUH

    Of course we’re interested!
