Custom Avatars
Commission Status: OPEN

Size and Format: 100×100 pixel, saved in .png format unless you specify otherwise
Price: $10 USD, via PayPal
Ordering Process: Please send an e-mail to: PikestaffArt [at] gmail [dot] com that includes the following:
1.) One or two screenshot(s) of your character, preferably in the gear/tabard you want displayed in the pic. Headpiece (or lack thereof) is probably the most important part here. If you are a druid and want a druid form in your avatar you can just let me know what form/color and whether you are Alliance or Horde.
2.) If you have a pet that you want in the avatar, either include a screenshot of the pet or the WoWHead/Petopia/etc. link to it. Yes, I do Death Knight and Warlock pets also; in the case of those you can just let me know what pet it is!
3.) Let me know what sort of facial expression you’d like, obviously it will be a cute expression but I can do ^_^ or or ;D or or other fun assortments! (Yes, I work in smilies!)
4.) Let me know if you want a plain white (or other color) background or if you want a “location” background. For the former, simply pick a color. For the latter, tell me some location in the game you like and I’ll scrounge up a screenshot of it and stick it in the background.
5.) Lastly, any sort of notes that you think would help for me to craft an avatar of your character, or special requests.

What Happens Next: I put you in queue for an avatar in the order that I receive requests.

I cannot guarantee a timeframe on when your avatar will be complete; remember I am also working a full-time job, blogging, etc. I aim for about a week (preferably less!) but remember, that is just an “aim”.

When your avatar is complete I will e-mail you and let you know that it is ready to go, and link you to a PayPal page where you can pay the $10.

Upon recieving confirmation of your payment I will send you your avatar as soon as I can. Depending on whether or not I am at work/asleep when I get your confirmation, it may be up to a 12-hour wait before you receive your avatar– my apologies in advance!

Refunds: Due to the nature of the medium I am unable to offer refunds, although I am willing to work with you to a reasonable degree if you are unhappy with the finished product.

Credit & “Remixing”: if you use your avatar on LiveJournal or a similar site I ask that you link either to my blog or to my own LiveJournal in your userpic note. If you use your avatar on a blog, forum, etc. just mention me if you get an inquiry about where it came from. I definitely understand that it is unwieldy to credit me all the time so I’m not asking for it ^_^

You are free to modify your new avatar by adding text, changing the color or background, etc. so long as you do not sell the modified work, and so long as you still credit me as the original source (although you are encouraged to add “text by [you]!” or the like.)

Price: Varies depending on the job. Roughly $8-10 for an hour’s worth of work as an estimate. I’m flexible!
I’m willing to do all sorts of things… art “pieces”, banners, etc. Remember, really all I’m good at is cutesy-type stuff, but I’d like to think I’m semi-good at that sort of thing, if it’s what you’re looking for. Toss me an e-mail ( PikestaffArt [at] gmail [dot] com ) and we can chat!
