I had one of those.

In fact, it was a Christmas gift in ’83 or ’84, I forget. It was like my favoritest thing ever, and I had this awesome 13″ sony trinitron that doubled as my monitor. Commodore 64 was high end home computing 25 years ago.

My favorite games were: the winter olympics, tapper, and some really cool “create your own monster and then send him in to combat other monsters” game (I think it was by EA, but I’m not sure). I also had Zork and Hitchhiker’s Gide to the Galaxy, but they were a little short on graphics.

I got into games and computers and such a bit later in life, but I do recall having fun with my original GameBoy. Yeah; the big gray brick. I only had a handful of games for it, but man, did I love that thing…

Oh, and “Awww…” at the picture. I’m sure you’re as cute now as you were then.

Cute BabyPike is cute. I finally got a computer in the beginning of 5th grade, once my mom finally got a fancy corporate job in the suburbs. Since that very moment computers and I have been inseparable.

I’m not a computer genius by any means but I’ve always felt that you can do pretty much anything with a computer and the internet.
