Aspect of the *COUGH HACK WHEEZE*

Aspect of the Hare is temporarily MIA because I am doing battle with the dreaded influenza boss which stealthed up on me and stunlocked me a couple days back, and it’s left me too sick to even play much WoW.

I mean, you guys know how there’s “normal sick”, and then there’s “really sick”, right? Like, with “normal sick”, it doesn’t affect my routine too much. I down some Advil, grab a box of tissues, and sit at the computer all day and am good to go.

But no, at the moment I’m popping Cough Drops like they’re candy or something and going through about a tissue a minute. (We can only be thankful that I haven’t overdosed on DayQuil yet.) I’ve tried to log into WoW a couple times and it usually turns into me sitting around in Dalaran or Stormwind for ten minutes and going “eeeerrrggghhhh” and logging off. And going to lay down in bed. And playing SimCity DS and flailing around as all my Sims demand more Zoos and Marinas. My city has a population of 10,000 and they have a Zoo, a Marina, a Stadium, and they want like… two zoos and three marinas. Needy lil’ buggers.

…as you can see, I am not good at writing coherently when I am sick, either.

I did snag this today:

TawynsKodo

Then I had to turn down heroics in favor of a nap because my head felt like it was going to explode. Phooey. I was really wanting to get a good look at the new Bestial Wrath numbers. My inkling from doing some dinking around on training dummies and the Brewfest boss is a small but tangible increase, but we will have to see. Hopefully, I’m in relatively decent condition again by Friday, which is when my Weekend o’ Raids starts.

In the meantime, it’s 8:00pm and do you know where your Pike is?

If you said “In bed, hugging her box of tissues and mumbling about her mental capacity having been completely destroyed by horse pills that are a compilation of like five different types of medication,” then you are correct!*

* This is, in fact, an improvement over the first night of sickness, which involved weird semi-dreams semi-hallucinations about Ulduar. *is pathetic*

  1. Awww, poor Pike. *pats* Try some lemon tea with tons of honey? That always helps me when I’m feeling sick/snuffly.

Grats on the Kodo! He’s so wiggly, isn’t he? 😀

  2. 🙁 I’d had somethingclike that before butbit was when I was 3 so I don’t remember a lot just that I walked out of my room and saw the tv on to a show I hated but watched anyway now when i’m sick (once a year every year) I suck it up (that would of been funny if u knew what book I’m reading ”suck it up) andplayed wow. and I did it again. I manage to get off topic sry… I want your mount 😀 hope u get better before (way before lol) your raids start on Friday

  3. Got the Kodo for my Warrior, but I need it for the hunter… Mount collection. 😉

And while running around in First Person on the Kodo while smashed I had a bad idea run through my head….

    “Kodo Drift Racing”

  4. Grats on the Kodo! I just got one the other day myself. They look so very cool. It was kinda nuts, we were on our fourth kill of the boss, and he dropped BOTH mounts. Then the next kill, he dropped a second kodo! Pretty much the luckiest group ever, and I managed to snag the kodo for myself.

  5. You too Pike? Monday morning decided to greet me with a cold/flu/bubonic plague as well. Still sick.

  6. Hugs from the feathered one. Don’t mind the antlers. /casts Rejuvination Pike

Grats on the kodo, my dwarf hunter has last year’s model. Hope I can get in the game and snare one for the druid who is actually collecting.

  7. aaw poor you!
I have also been attacked by the cough hack wheeze monster and missed my first days back at university.. boo!
managed to nab the ram mount in BRD amidst coughs and sneezes though, which makes me feel a little better..

Question though: What is the consensus on whether the “Coren’s Chromium Coaster” is beneficial to have if you already have the “Mirror of Truth”??

    Cheers

  8. Oh, I’m sorry, do get feeling better. I have to be careful at where I work (an elementary school), cause we have a few cases of the swine flu here. so, I use lots of hand sanitizer, to say the least.

Congrats on the mount. I’m very jealous.

  9. I hope you feel better soon so you can enjoy that mount and the raids this weekend. Congrats on the Kodo!

  10. Without going into too much detail, I know how it it like when you have a really bad flu. Tho I have to say, sitting at a pc is a strain and an energy vampire you should really avoid when ill.

    Get well soon, fellow hunter.

  11. Sorry you’re not feeling well! You missed the idiocy of Blizzard making Beastial Wrath only 10 sec, and the awesomeness of the new Onyxia last night!

  12. Hmmm, you have now joined the ranked of the guild who have fallen ill this week. This is a shame. I think Raymund is the culprit, spreading diseases to anyone around him and his branches.

Anyway, I hope you get to feeling better. ^^

  13. Oh! And speaking of dreams and pathetic and that stuff, I had a dream last night where I was on the beach at night, and I was trying to prevent something from getting taken away by the waves. I think they were ores, like for a boat. But I kept falling asleep in the dream! And when I would wake up, I’d be in the water, so I’d have to climb back to the shore. But the last time I did, I realized I had my authenticator key chain thing around my belt, and it got wet and wouldn’t work anymore. So I logged on vent and had to tell everyone and I was sad.

And you thought your dreams/hallucinations were pathetic. 😛

  14. Neat kodo!

Also I just ignore my Sims as much as I am able to, they’re usually on about nothing at all. And I learn very well why the people are ignored IRL!
