Umm if your a Hunter and end up with anything that does have spirit on it….. then it isnt a Hunter item, period.

Agility > Stamina > Intel. That is your only concern and priority.

Hi Pike,

Just new to your blog and i have to say it is FULL of awesomeness:).

Currently have 4 lvl 80′s..Pali..dk..lock and yes HUNTER.(note..caps denotes main)…

To help ppl gets their heads around the hunter stats here are mine.

Rabbittrap..lvl 80 SV hunter..( Khaz’Goroth..if you want to check armoury or Imba )..Strenght ..think i have some somewere..maybe 120..
Agility…1115..yes over a k.

I have enough intel atm can’t remember the figure..But it rounds out like this..
health 18k..mana 12k..AP..4200.near enough..hit.253( VERY important for a hunter)..crit about 33% atm. These are unbuffed stats.

Ive played all 3 specs.( leveled to 80 mark. then woke up to myself.DOH ).
Currently i raid as SV..but will be dual speccing to BM in 3.1..

5 pets..Cat..Spook..wolf..Bait..Ravager..Itchy( 1 of the colour changes)…Bear..Steak..and Gorilla..Magilla..

Sorry for being long winded,I think hunters tend to be a bit full of themselves sometimes..but only because we are UBER,..again great blog..keep up the good work.

Great intro to the primary stats on the character sheet. But even for the beginner, I think you need to include mention of +hit, attack power, and crit chance. Many hunters I play with (even at level 70) don’t understand the importance of +hit.

I came across this blog without seeingthe home page but took a look at it finally. My hunter origianlly was on Silver Hand also I transferred over to Ysera just before BC came out. Here is the link to my armory page. At this point I just goof around with the talent tree, I wonder what the Lcih King will do withthe talent tree if any changes at all will come.

Aye, thank you. I have played around with the hunter talent tree alot but forgot that that bonus would cause that mod to read that bonus that way. Having played a hunter from day one (about 2 months after the game came out) I have tried some many varied trees. Right now I have 0-31-30 just for kicks it seems to do ok (i haven’t found any combination that really just flops totally) I still get my traps extended but get boost to agility intellect and attack power this way. It still doesn’t out DPS the BM spec outright on paper but in real time runs it does well. I have opted not to go deep enough to get the group or raid wide bonuses (trueshot or expose weakness)but may modify that again but who knows.

Anonymous - if you are a deep Marksman hunter and have taken the talent Careful Aim, it will increase your RAP based off of Intellect. But that only applies to hunters who have taken that talent.

I was wondering why i see in game that intellect gives a plus to RAP. is this just someone’s mod being wrong?
